Walking

Newport U3A has three walking groups:

All Day walks:

Our group comprises about 30 active members with 15 - 20 walking each Wednesday.

Many of the group meet at Tregare Street Newport at 9.30am each Wednesday to share cars but many also go straight to the starting point of the walk.

A six monthly walking programme is published containing details of the walks including the area covered and the starting point.

Walks vary between 7-9 miles and cover a range of terrain and difficulty with details and advice available from the walk leader.

Prospective new walkers can sample two walks at 50p per walk before deciding whether to take out full membership of the U3A.
