Sunday Lunch Club

Our numbers have increased considerably - there are usually over 20 of us who enjoy the companionship of eating good food with friends. There is plenty of chatter and fun. Usually travel to the venue is not a problem, as we have kind members with cars who are willing to take those who don't have their own transport - passengers are asked to give about £1 each to the driver towards the cost of petrol etc.

Apart from me, some of the members will, once or twice a year, arrange the venue, find out who is coming, collect the money at the end etc. We expect those wishing to go to inform the organiser or me either at the previously monthly meeting, or not later than a week before the date of the meal. I do the paperwork for each meal, so that the organiser has a list of names and contact numbers.

Forthcoming events: at our Christmas meal I give each member the expected dates for the following year. Normally we meet in every month except August.
