Who Comes? What do we do?

Members attend illustrated talks on all aspects of gardening and wildlife, given by professional and amateur speakers. They are held on the third and forth Thursdays of the month, mostly during the Autumn and Spring terms. We also organise outside visits to actually study, for example, garden design, plants, arboretums, wild birds, wild flowers on a day visit or on our annual five-day holiday within the UK. Many of the gardens and wildlife venues are in private ownership or belonging to the National Trust. Usually the visits take place on the first Tuesday of the month. The current programme can be found on the notice board together with details of the outside visits to join in. Each year we hold a Plant Sale and new for 2009 is our very own Summer Flower Show.

Costs: each member pays 50p entry to the talks. Costs vary for an outside visit from £5.85 - £22.00
